4. Jordan Nesbitt
The final player on this list is someone who could greatly help the Illinois basketball program at the No. 3 spot. Jordan Nesbitt could come in and be an impact player from day one.
Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 180-pounds, Nesbit has the capabilities of doing some good things early on in his career. The St. Louis Christian Academy wing checks in as the No. 75 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 14 small forward in the nation.
Having a player like Nesbitt out on the wing would free up more guard help for the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the Illinois roster. I would shift over some options like Luke Goode to the backup No. 2 guard role, and this would create more depth in a much-needed area of the floor.
Nesbitt is a playmaker in the truest form. A solid shot from the outside and an energy that is unmatchable, Nesbitt has the chance to come in and be a sparkplug for any team in the country. This kid is going to bring a fire to a program that will rub off on his teammates. He is one of the most exciting players to watch at the high school level.
It is hard to tell where Nesbitt will land. Four different “experts” from 247Sports are picking Saint Louis as the landing spot for the talented wing. But those predictions were about a month ago and there still hasn’t been a commitment yet. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Illinois get back in this one, though. There is a long way to go until the early signing period. Let’s see if this Illini coaching staff can work some magic.
