Illinois basketball four-star target David Jones has been given another Crystal Ball prediction.

Head coach Brad Underwood and the Illinois Fighting Illini picked up another crystal ball prediction for the talented forward on Friday night.

Jones is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound forward who currently attends Teays Valley Christian School in West Virginia, where he is the team’s captain.

Jones has 10 offers from schools including DePaul, Louisville, Oregon, Maryland, and others.  The 6-foot-6 forward is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 91 overall player in the nation, and the No. 2 overall player in the state of West Virginia for the class of 2021.

Jones now has two crystal ball predictions that both favor the Orange and Blue.  Derek Piper of the Illini Inquirer, who is 25/28 (89.2%) all-time, predicted Jones to the Illini back in July.  On Friday, it was Brian Snow of 247Sports, who is 254/269 (94.4%) all-time, who made the prediction.

What would the Illini be getting in Jones?

The Illini would be getting a player who can score the ball. Jones’ film indicates he can score the ball from anywhere on the basketball court.  He has very deep range that allows him to be a reliable three-point shooter.

Additionally, Jones has a mid-range jumper and can finish in the paint.  He is seen on film catching alley-oop lobs and finishing dunks with authority.  Jones has also shown off his strength with strongly contested finishes in the paint, whether it’s with a dunk or a layup.

The West Virginia native would also be a valuable asset on the defensive end, as he can rebound the ball and block shots.  The Illini would also be getting a hustler who doesn’t give up on plays.
