The class of 2021 is extremely important for the Illinois basketball team because it could be the difference between being a potential bubble team or one of the best programs in the nation.

Everyone knows that the Illini are going to be one of the best teams in this nation this upcoming season. With Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn returning, this puts the Orange and Blue in the driver seat in the Big Ten. But let’s take a peek beyond this upcoming campaign.

Ayo and Kofi are most likely departing after this season. In addition to those two giants leaving the program, Illinois will also lose a couple of glue-guys in Trent Frazier and Da’Monte Williams. Having those four players depart is a huge blow for the following campaign.

But Illinois also has some players to fill those voids. Adam Miller and Andre Curbelo are two players coming in this season who will take over in 2021. They will need some help, though. Illinois needs to land a solid class of 2021 to help the duo of Miller and Curbelo get back to the postseason.

Which players from the class of 2021 would be the best options for the Illini? We only have three scholarship offers to play with right now, so Illinois has to be selective.

Here is my Illini recruiting wish list to finish out the class of 2021.
