3. Tavoris Miller

Illinois has a habit of finding talented recruits who aren’t always on the national radar. This coaching staff has proved they have a great eye for talent. One of the next underrated snags could end up being Tavoris Miller.

Miller is a 6-foot, 160-pound athlete from South Miami Senior High School and resides in Miami, Florida. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 87 athlete in the class of 2021 and the No. 132 player in the state of Florida.

Usually, with recruits who aren’t ranked nationally, the player doesn’t have a ton of scholarship offers. But that isn’t the case with Miller. This kid not only has an offer from the Illini, but teams like Miami (FL), Indiana and South Carolina have all hopped on board too.

With all of the scholarship offers, Miller decided to cut his list down to just nine teams back on August 6. The nine programs still vying for his commitment include Kansas, Florida Atlantic, Western Kentucky, Indiana, Rhode Island, South Florida, Miami (FL), South Carolina and Illinois.

The state of Florida has been good to Illinois over the last couple of years. Keynodo Hudson has done some good work in the Sunshine State. That is why I have hope we can land Miller. Coach Hudson can pull in the talent and will help form them into great players. That is what I am thinking could happen with Miller.
