Brad Underwood has his Illinois basketball program poised to win a lot in the coming years.

Winning isn’t just as simple as having great coaching. You also need to have players who can play the game. Underwood has brought in a level of player that Illinois hadn’t seen in years. He continues to impress the fanbase with his ability to recruit and land the big fish.

Throughout the past few years, Illinois has snagged some talented recruits. Ayo Dosunmu kicked off the recruiting run with his commitment for the class of 2018. Ayo has been sensational for the program and should help the Illini see new heights in 2020-21.

Kofi Cockburn was next in line. Kofi came in from the class of 2019 as one of the best big men in the country. Illinois landed Kofi and completed the roster that was in dire need of some size. Since he joined the team, Kofi has been nothing but spectacular.

Illinois now has Adam Miller coming into the program. Miller is a Morgan Park disciple, much like Ayo. He is coming in and going to do some damage. But the Illini aren’t nearly done with their recruiting for the future. They need to continue building the class of 2021.

One huge piece to the class of 2021 for the Illini is Brandon Weston. He would be a nice addition alongside the lone commitment right now, Luke Goode. Weston is another Morgan Park product and should be someone who can help the team right away. But what would the roster look like if we added the talented in-state guard?

Here is the projected lineup if Brandon Weston picks the Illini.
