No. 3 Guard

Starter: Adam Miller

Illinois was going to have a solid roster before Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn decided to return to the lineup. But the roster is just silly now. At the No. 3 spot, I have Adam Miller coming in as a true freshman and starting in this slot. He has that much talent and should be able to put up big numbers in year one.

Miller, like Andre Curbelo, as a lout of clout coming out of high school. This kid was a four-star recruit who was the No. 33 player in the class of 2020. Everyone wanted Miller coming out of Morgan Park, but Illinois managed to keep him in-state. I was thinking Miller was going to average something like 14 points per game in year one, but that was before the big-two returned. I am just looking for something like 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists per game this season.

Backup: Austin Hutcherson

The other transfer Illinois was able to land last year was Austin Hutcherson. This kid is supposed to be one of the most athletic players on the team, and that is something Brad Underwood said to a reporter. I am excited to see what he can do on the court.

I have Hutcherson coming in as a redshirt junior and being the primary backup at the No. 3 spot. He was sensational with Wesleyan University where he averaged 20 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Those will not even be close to the numbers he averages this year, though. I was to see something like 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game for the talented transfers. I would be happy if that type of product comes out of that position.
