No. 3 Guard – A+

  • Adam Miller (FR)
  • Austin Hutcherson (JR)

Illinois has had some pretty special players at the No. 3 spot. The wing is where the versatile scorers hang out. That will be the case again this upcoming season with some great talent coming into the program.

I believe Adam Miller will be taking the lead at the No. 3 spot. He is the 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard who was rated as a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 33 player in the class of 2020. Everyone wanted Miller to come play for their program, but Illinois was able to pull him in.

All Illinois fans are excited to see what Miller can do for this program. He is a tremendous scorer of the basketball and can hit shots from everywhere on the court. Look for him to take over games with his all-around playmaking abilities.

I am even more excited about the depth we are going to have at the No. 3 spot. Behind Miller, I have Austin Hutcherson. He is a transfer from Wesleyan University and is finally eligible to play this season. Hutcherson averaged 20 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in his final year with Wesleyan. I look for him to get somewhere between 12-16 minutes in each game at various positions.

The No. 3 guard spot for the Illini deserves an A+ grade. Miller is going to be on the floor just about every minute of every game. I have Hutcherson coming in for a number of different players because he can play different positions. These two are going to be the engine that moves this team next season.
