The Illinois football team added to the family on Monday afternoon, but the Orange and Blue aren’t anywhere near finished adding to the program.

One of the best recruiting tools to use if you are an Illinois fan is the 247Sports Crystal Ball. This will let you know where the writers of 247Sports think a recruit is going to end up landing. As of right now, the Crystal Ball is extremely hot for the Illini.

With 13 players committed for 2021 and three transfers coming in, the Illinois football team is looking to be in pretty good shape. Illinois now looks to add more players to the mix. The next two players to come aboard could be Josh Gesky and Chevy Brenson.

Gesky is a 6-foot-5, 265-pound offensive tackle from Manteno High School in Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 1773 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 154 offensive tackle in the nation.

Currently, Gesky has a few Crystal Ball predictions on him with the most recent being from 247Sports national recruiting analyst, Allen Trieu. Every prediction has Gesky ending up with the Orange and Blue.

Brenson is in the same boat as Gesky. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound, wide receiver from Christian Brothers College High School has a couple of Crystal Ball predictions and they are all pointing towards Illinois.

Brenson would be a big pickup for the Illini considering he is a three-star recruit who is the No. 925 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 138 wide receiver in the nation.

Illinois wants to continue building their team for the future. Adding Gesky and Brenson to the mix will go towards that goal. They would also push the Illini more toward the top 50 nationally for the class of 2021. I would like to see them toward the top 40 by the end of the recruiting class.

Next. Illini land former Missouri wide receiver Khmari Thompson. dark

I fully expect both of these talented players to commit some time in the near future. Look for Illinois to add these two and then continue being in the running for some other big-time recruits. The class of 2021 is about depth building and that is what is happening.
