5. Jordan Nesbitt (4.5 out of 10 confidence)

Illinois has benefited from the St. Louis area when it comes to recruiting. This has mainly been the case with the football program, but the Illinois basketball team is eyeing Jordan Nesbitt to join the team.

Nesbitt is a 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from St. Louis Christian Academy and resides in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 83 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 17 small forward in the nation. He is also the No. 2 player coming out of the state of Missouri.

This was another recruitment I thought Illinois was in the lead for at one time. But things seemed to have cooled down a bit for Nesbitt. There hasn’t been much action, and he continues to receive scholarship offers. Despite 247Sports listing Illinois as a top-two team right now, I am not so sure we are in the lead.

The shot that Nesbitt brings to the table is exciting. This kid is a playmaker in the truest form. He can do it all on the court. Nesbitt draws double teams and can dish the ball to the open man. When you sleep on him defensively, he makes you pay. This kid can drop big-time numbers.

Nesbitt’s recruitment is going to continue blowing up. This kid is the real deal and will help any team in the country. Hopefully, Illinois can continue being a player.
