There have been a lot of big moments in the history of the Illinois basketball program.

On Tuesday morning, Jeff Eisenband posted on Twitter a statement saying, “Describe your favorite sports moment, as boring as possible.”

Immediately, I thought this was an amazing thing to say. I landed on one that is in this article, but there were so many that popped into my head for both Illinois basketball and football. The football side of things was easier because more memorable moments have happened recently. But basketball still could hold its own.

The great thing about the statement Eisenband made on Twitter is the fact it doesn’t have to necessarily be a play. It could be a game that will always be etched into your memory or something that impacted your team for years to come.

Illinois basketball has quite a few to choose from. There were so many options on the court, but they have also had a handful of things happen off the court that would impact the program. If nothing else, Eisenband definitely got people thinking. Just look at the comments, even Albert Almora Jr. of the Cubs chimed in.
