14. Andres Feliz (Old: 3-star/0.8444 – New: 4-star/0.9334)

The class of 2018 was the start of the resurgence for the Illinois basketball program. The top of the class was building blocks to the team that made it back to the postseason in 2020. The bottom of this class was special too. It brought in Andres Feliz.

Feliz was a 6-foot, 165-pound point guard coming out of West Oaks Academy and residing in Orlando, Florida. He was rated as a three-star recruit who was the No. 289 player in the class of 2016 and the No. 52 point guard in the nation. He also had a composite rating of 0.8444.

Originally, Feliz ended up playing two years at Northwest Florida State at the junior college level coming out of high school. He was great with the Raiders. During his sophomore season, he averaged 20 points, 6.1 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. This great play caught the eye of many coaches around the country.

Illinois would be Feliz’s next landing spot. He was sensational with the Illini too. As a senior, he averaged 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Feliz was a huge reason we could get back to the postseason. He even started about half of the season for the Illini.

It was tough not rating Feliz better than this, but I think this is about right for the point guard. He came into the college ranks as a three-star with a rating of 0.8444. I have him significantly increasing to a four-star with a rating of 0.9334. To me, Feliz is a solid four-star recruit.
