The Illinois basketball team needed to add a big man, and that is what they did with bringing Brandon Lieb on board.

Honestly, I was surprised to see Lieb commit to the Illini so soon. The Illini only offered the kid back on June 23 and now he is a member of the team.

Lieb is a 6-foot-11, 205-pound center from Deerfield High School and residing in Deerfield, Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 467 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 80 center in the nation. He is also the No. 11 player in the state of Illinois.

The Illini landed Lieb because the need for another player with some size was there. We could be losing a couple of huge pieces of this team in the coming months, so snagging players like Lieb will help rebuild.

But what does Lieb add to the Illini? What does the lineup look like now that he is a member of this program?

Here is the projected Illini lineup with Brandon Lieb.
