No. 2 Guard

Starter: Trent Frazier

There are some players who come through this Illinois basketball program who will always hold a special place in my heart. Trent Frazier is one of those players. This kid gave everything he had to the Illini, and I cannot thank him enough. He has also been a sensational guard during his time in Champaign.

The position I had Frazier in is not going to change with Ayo Dosunmu returning. I have him as the starting No. 2 guard for the Orange and Blue. I believe this is where he fits in the best. Frazier has the ability to open up the court. You cannot leave him open. He can move well and come off screens. But the best part about his game is the fact he is a southpaw. You have to love those lefties.

Backup: Jacob Grandison

Illinois really hit the transfer market hard last year. Getting players who can come in and contribute was extremely important to Brad Underwood. One of the players he was able to snag was Jacob Grandison.

Grandison transferred in from Holy Cross College. He had to sit out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, though. But the junior is able to play starting in 2020. I have Grandison slotted in as the backup No. 2 guard. He has the ability to do it all on the court. He averaged 13.9 points, 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a sophomore with Holy Cross. I believe Grandison will be a great bench option for this Illini program.
