No. 2 Guard

Starter: Adam Miller

The class of 2020 is bringing in so much talent to the Illinois program. Andre Curbelo is going to lead the way at the No. 1 guard spot, but his running mate should be Adam Miller. The Peoria product turned Chicago product should come in this upcoming season and do some great things. His progression this year will lead to a legendary 2021.

In 2021, I have Miller starting at the No. 2 guard spot. With the way the Illini roster is set up, I think Miller in this role would be best for the program. I also believe he will be the biggest scoring threat on the team. The ability for Miller to score at the basket, in the mid-range and from distance is going to be something that opposing teams will struggle with. The kid is the entire package and more.

Backup: Luke Goode

Illinois has already done some work on the class of 2021. The lone commitment so far is shooting guard, Luke Goode. This northeast Indiana kid is an insanely good shooter. The fact the Illini were able to pull him from that part of Indiana is something that has never happened in program history.

I have Goode coming into the Illinois program and contributing right away. He is a top 100 recruit, so there is instant impact talent in him. I have him as the backup No. 2 guard to Miller. This would enable Goode to see playing time while not having to be relied on constantly. His shooting is going to help our bench scoring drastically.
