No. 2 Nick Anderson

Nick Anderson was a 6-foot-6 shooting guard who played two years at Illinois. During his time in Champaign, he accomplished a lot. He made tournaments and put up good numbers while doing it.

During Anderson’s career, he averaged 17 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He shot 55-percent from the field and 36-percent from three-point range. He had a 56-percent effective field goal percentage as well.

The best season for Andreson came during his sophomore year. He finished that season averaging  18 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. He shot 53-percent from the field and 36-percent from three-point range.

Anderson has a list of accomplishments. He made the All-Big Ten team and NCAA All-Region team.  He made the second round and the Final Four during his two NCAA tournament runs. Anderson also ranks No. 6 all-time in Illini field goal percentage, and he is in the top 20 in all-time points scored.

The biggest flaw to me about Anderson’s career is that he only played two years. I don’t blame him because if you can leave college and go to the NBA, you should. But his two years were good enough to make the second spot this list.
