There are some Illinois football fans who are worrying about the class of 2021, but is it the right time to start worrying?

That is a question I have asked myself a few times. I have come to the conclusion that it isn’t the right time to start worrying.

Listen, I realize we lost out on a big-time recruit this past weekend. Running back Willie Shaw had the Illini in this top three. He was choosing between us, Toledo and Nebraska. But Shaw ended up going with the Rockets. He was a top 700 recruit and someone who could have helped this program.

The loss of Shaw hurt, but it isn’t the end of the world. We have a great freshman running back joining the team in Reggie Love. I can’t wait to see what this kid can do on the football field. We also have a nice, but unproven, stable of running backs.

There are a lot more fish to catch for the Orange and Blue. I think there are many reasons we will be just fine as a program. But there are only a few that really stick out to me.

Here are my top three reasons to not worry about the Illini class of 2021.
