The Illinois basketball team is clearly still trying to find a transfer to add to the roster before the start of the upcoming season.

As of right now, I believe with have 10 scholarships spoken for next season. If both Ayo Dosunmu – I am assuming he will declare for the NBA Draft – and Kofi Cockburn both return to the team, then Illinois will have 12 scholarships already filled for the upcoming campaign. That would leave one scholarship left to fill.

With that one scholarship, Brad Underwood and the Illinois coaching staff are pursuing a wide range of players from every avenue of the recruiting world. But the transfer market has been the most active so far this offseason.

The Writing Illini has produced multiple transfer option lists for the program over the past couple of weeks. But everything is fluid in the recruiting world. A lot of the transfer options for the Illini committed this past week. That leaves a much shorter list this time around.

Even with the list being shorter, I think the Illini can improve their team with some of the players who are still available for the future. I would bet we add a player in the coming weeks.

Here are the top transfer targets the Illini are pursuing 3.0.
