Keontez Lewis. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 807. East St. Louis HS - East St. Louis, IL. 3. player

We travel back down to Southwest Illinois to find our next big-time wide receiver target. I still want to add another tall pass-catcher who can beat a defender on the outside. That is what I am getting with Keontez Lewis.

Lewis is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide receiver from East St. Louis High School and resides in East St. Louis, Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 445 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 70 wide receiver in the nation. He is also the No. 15 player in the state of Illinois.

The offers have really flown in for Lewis. He currently has about 15 scholarship offers with some of the bigger programs being Illinois, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. But there are some teams who are making this kid a priority.

One program that is all over Lewis is the Illini. They continue to pursue this kid because they know how he can elevate the offense. But there are a couple of teams who scare me in this recruitment. Ole Miss is one of those programs. They offered him back in late February and had him in for an unofficial visit. I also think Arkansas could be a threat too.

At the end of the day, Illinois should be up there for Lewis’ commitment. We have a huge need for wide receivers and his family can come to see him play. We have a lot going for us right now.
