SG. Homestead HS - Fort Wayne, IN. Luke Goode. player. 481. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 2

There are a handful of recruits the Illinois basketball coaching staff has put a lot of time and resources into. Luke Goode is one of those players in that handful, and he is someone who could do some real damage in the Big Ten.

Goode is a 6-foot-5, 175-pound shooting guard from Homestead High School and resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 99 player in the class of 2021 and the No. 22 shooting guard in the nation. He is also the No. 7 player in the state of Indiana.

There are so many programs coming after Goode because of what he can do on the basketball court. Some of the bigger programs that have offered him include Indiana, Louisville and Illinois. But more programs are sure to join the mix in the coming months.

Honestly, I believe it will be difficult to pull Goode from the state of Indiana. The Hoosiers offer has to be tempting. Playing for the state school in the state of Indiana is something a lot of kids dream of doing. I would imagine Goode has thought that a few times in his life.

Illinois is right there in the mix, though. They could always use another sharpshooter from the outside. I see Goode coming in and contributing right away for this program. He would then transition into a starter role by his sophomore year. He would be a star in Champaign.
