The Illinois basketball team pulled out a win at home against the Indiana Hoosiers, 67-66.

This Illini team played well against the Hoosiers. They played well on defense, especially late in the game. Illinois also did a good job executing on offense late in the game. Multiple players impressed me against Indiana. That is why there will be co-MVPs for this game.

The co-MVPs for the win over the Hoosiers are Andres Feliz and Kofi Cockburn, as both players had a huge effect on this game.

Feliz was spectacular against the Hoosiers. He had 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He shot 6-of-11 from the field and 1-of-2 from three-point range. Feliz also did a good job of getting penetration inside on Indiana’s defense. He played great on defense, as he had three steals including the game-sealing takeaway.

Kofi played great on Sunday as well. He had 15 points and 5 rebounds against the Hoosiers. Indiana couldn’t handle Kofi in the post. He drew five fouls and went to the free throw line 10 times and buried seven of those attempts. But the best thing about Kofi was his defense. He made his presence felt as he had six blocks and did a good job of affecting Indiana’s shots at the rim.

There were other players who played well on Sunday too. But the award has to go out to Feliz and Kofi for their effort and hustle.
