1. King Kofi was unstoppable

That was a fun game to watch on Sunday afternoon. Two rival teams in Illinois and Indiana going at it. To top things off, there was one of the best big men this matchup has ever seen on display for the Illini.

Kofi Cockburn has done some amazing things this season. He is currently averaging 13.6 points, 9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game so far. He has now scored in double-digits in his last six games and has 12 double-doubles this season. Oh yeah, the kid is only a freshman.

The abilities of Kofi were on display once again on Sunday. The Hoosiers had no answer for the big man. He ended the day with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 blocks. He only turned the ball over one time as well. Kofi’s ability to get the free throw line and then convert was crucial for the Illini.

It was fun to watch Indiana struggle with a player like Kofi. He continues to develop his game. There are little things throughout every matchup where you can see he is becoming a better player. This will only increase as time goes on as well. He is a superstar who is blossoming by the game.

On Sunday, Kofi was sensational. This isn’t anything new to anyone who has watched this kid. If he can continue playing like this, the sky is the limit.
