Illinois basketball recruits have some movement in the latest Rivals150 class of 2020 rankings.

The first player you come to is obviously standout guard, Adam Miller. Miller was ranked as the No. 28 player coming into the updated recruiting rankings. He is now checking in at No. 30 on this list, so he moved down two spots. This has nothing to do with his play but more to do with other recruits moving up.

Despite the slight drop in ranking, Miller has moved from a four-star to a five-star. This is big news for the superstar recruit who is currently committed to Illinois. The fact Miller is now a five-star means Illinois has now snagged two five-star recruits in the last three classes. The other five-star being former teammate, Ayo Dosunmu.

You only have to go to No. 43 to find the next Illinois commitment. Guard Andre Curbelo is in the top 50, which is impressive. He was previously ranked as the No. 47 recruit in the nation but moved up four spots to his current position.

Curbelo is going to be a huge piece for the Illini in year one. This kid brings solid point guard distribution skills that are needed at the No. 1 spot. I can’t wait to see how he can help his teammates in Champaign next season.

The third and final recruit on the Rivals150 is Coleman Hawkins. He is an underrated big man who is going to do some wonders for the Orange and Blue. Rivals has him as the No. 137 player in the class of 2020, which is a move into the top 150. Don’t be surprised if Hawkins sees solid playing time as a freshman.

I am excited about the Illinois class of 2020. They have a great group of players coming in who should be able to take the reins of this rising program.
