No.4 Forward – Mike Davis
Mike Davis was one of the best athletically gifted Illinois basketball players during the 2010s. He only played a season and a half in the 2010s, so his longevity during the decade isn’t huge but his stats are good so it makes up for it.
Davis spent a portion of his junior season in the 2010s as he averaged 10.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while shooting 47-percent from the field and 63-percent from the free throw line.
Davis’ managed to increase his scoring during his senior season to 12.5 points per game, but his rebounds dropped to 7.1 rebounds per game. He was efficient in his scoring, though. He shot 52-percent from the field and 70-percent from the free throw line. He was also a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten honoree.
Davis had a big impact on Illinois during his tenure. He helped lead the Illini to two postseason appearances, one being an NIT appearance and also an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Illinois lost to a No.1 Kansas in the round of 32 that year.
Even though Davis has a small sample size of production during the 2010s, he still has the accolades and stats to make it on the list.
Davis was recently waived by the NBA G-league team the Capital City Go-Go.
