The Illinois basketball team has had some talented players at multiple positions during the 2010s, but which Illini players will make the cut for the second-string All-Decade Team?

That question is very hard to answer. Illinois has had an array of talent come through and put on an Illinois jersey.  Some players on this list were hard to cut as some positions through the 2010s were loaded with talent.

My second-string All-Decade team will be based on numbers, accomplishments with the team and the impact the player had on the team. Multiple players have played in March but most of them haven’t this decade, so players won’t get penalized hard for not making the tournament during their tenure as an Illini.

Players also won’t get penalized for not having a lot of wins, as players can’t always control if the team wins or loses. Some losses fall on the coaching staff and some players on the list just didn’t have a good enough supporting cast around them to win.

Some players on this list were hard to cut, as I said earlier. This list is my opinion and people may not agree with me on some players. Some players did have good seasons with the team, but their numbers aren’t as good or their numbers are good but their accomplishments and consistency on the court wasn’t good. I’m not going to take up any more of your time so without further ado, let’s get into this list.

Here is the Illini second-string All-Decade Team.
