1. Antonio Doyle

There are still tons of big fish out there for the Illinois football team when it comes to the class of 2020. But the biggest fish of them all is, hands down, Antonio Doyle Jr.

Doyle is a 6-foot-4, 230-pound outside linebacker from Lutheran North High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 97 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 8 outside linebacker in the nation. He is also the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri.

A decision is coming soon for Doyle. He will be picking between Missouri, Texas A&M and Illinois on December 16. This decision has been a long time coming and one that won’t be easy for the talented state champion linebacker.

Who will he pick?

Doyle laid out three teams he would be choosing from. He backed away from his commitment to Missouri back in August. Since then, the Tigers have fired their head coach. I assume they are likely out of the picture.

That leaves the Illini and Aggies to duke it out for Doyle. 247Sports “experts” say Texas A&M will win this one, but their predictions came back in late September. Since then, he has taken an official visit to both programs. Since Illinois was the last program he officially visited, I would say the Illini have the lead here. I wouldn’t be shocked if we add Doyle next Monday.
