Defensive Backs

Starter CB: Quan Martin

Illinois’ cornerbacks have been solid this season. We have been able to see both of their starters in every game this season. Quan Martin is one of the solid cornerbacks for the Illini. He has suited up in every game and has nine tackles this season.

Starter S: Sydney Brown

The Illinois safeties are the issues with the secondary. We can stay healthy, and this has caused opposing teams to throw all over us. I have Sydney Brown starting at one of the safety positions for the Illini. He came back last week to provide some type of help to the safety position. I look for him to start this week.

Starter S: Tony Adams

There are rumors that Tony Adams is going to be healthy for the Illini. This would be huge for the team considering he is our best safety and possibly our best defensive back on the team. Getting Adams back would help stop Nebraska’s tough passing attack.

Starter CB: Nate Hobbs

The other solid starting cornerback for the Illini is Nate Hobbs. He has been a good player for this program since coming in a few years back. Look for Hobbs to continue making starts for this team the rest of the season. He has 18 tackles and 2 pass deflections this year.

Backup: Delano Ware, Stanley Green, Kirby Joseph, Michael Marchese, Devon Witherspoon, Christian Bobak, Nick Walker
