Defensive Line

Starter DE: Wole Betiku

Wole Betiku is going to start for the Illini for the two years he is with the program. He currently leads the nation in tackles for loss and sacks. This kid has been a menace to opposing offenses.

Betiku finished the UConn game with 4 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. He is a superstar who brings a dangerous element to the Illini defense.

Starter DT: Jamal Woods

I have Jamal Woods starting once against for the Illini at defensive tackle. He has done a great job this season being a solid veteran starter in the middle of the defensive. Woods finished the UConn game with 5 tackles, .5 sacks and 2 tackles for loss.

Starter DT: Jamal Milan

Another solid veteran on this Illinois football team is Jamal Milan. He has started every game this season and will continue to start at defensive tackle. His leadership has been great so far for the Orange and Blue.

Stater DE: Ayo Shogbonyo

I have Ayo Shogbonyo starting once again for the Illini at defensive end. He has done a great job solidifying his position with this team and his play on the field has been solid. Illinois likes to rotate this position too. We have solid depth, so look for multiple players to be playing against Eastern Michigan.

Backup: Lere Oladipo, Isaiah Gay, Calvin Avery, Tymir Oliver, Kenyon Jackson, Owen Carney Jr.
