2. Denver Warren

The first of two defensive tackles on my wishlist is Denver Warren. Warren’s recruitment has been quiet for pretty much 2019 as well. But it seems like things might start picking up for him soon.

At one time, Warren was committed to playing for Michigan. He backed out of that commitment because they didn’t have room for him on the roster. That is why he is looking for a new home. Since he reopened his recruitment, it seems like he has drawn closer to Illinois.

Warren has been on multiple unofficial visits to Champaign. But he is keeping all his options open. He recently visited and camped with Virginia. It is a good thing that Warren is getting the full scope of what every program has to offer.

I would love to have Warren wearing an Illini uniform in 2020. He is a 6-foot-1.5, 318-pound defensive tackle from Brother Rice High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 462 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 43 defensive tackle in the nation. He is also the No. 7 player in the state of Illinois.

I get the vibes Illinois is Warren’s top choice still but that is just a feeling. He is enjoying this once in a lifetime opportunity of being a top recruit. He has earned all the visits and attention he is getting. At the end of the day, hopefully, he ends with the Illini.
