The Illinois football team needs to start filling out their class of 2020 before all the top talent is gone.
That is a big worry of mine right now. We have three solid commitments in Jadon Thompson, Reggie Love and Quinton McCoy. All three of these players are going to be huge additions to their respective positions.
Thompson is crucial for the wide receiver corps because we are thin as it is. Over the next two seasons, we will be losing a few of our top pass catchers, so having someone like Thompson come in and play big-time snaps early is important.
Love could easily be the replacement for Reggie Corbin. Corbin is the starter for the 2019 campaign but will be departing after the season. Love could step into the starting role and be a three or four-year starter immediately for this program.
McCoy is needed at defensive tackle because of the depth issues that graduation is about to bring. Illinois is about to lose three of their four main defensive tackles after the 2019 campaign concludes. That leaves a huge hole that McCoy will help fill.
With that being said, Illinois is going to need even more talent if they want to project a winning future. That means we are going to need to snag certain players to fill certain roles on the team. There are a few players I want that will help this team the most.
Here is my recruiting wishlist for the class of 2020.
