1. Kevin Tyler

The offensive line is a top priority for the Illinois football team in the class of 2020. The depth is going to start dwindling as players graduate. A big-time depth builder for the Illini would be Kevin Tyler.

Tyler is a 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive tackle from Ritenour High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 817 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 68 offensive tackle in the nation. He is also the No. 16 player in the state of Missouri.

Since the beginning of the year, Tyler has been on two unofficial visits to Champaign. He has said multiple times that Illinois feels like home. 247Sports has their Crystal Ball at 100-percent in favor of the Illini as well.

On June 25, Tyler cut his top list down to just 10 programs vying for his commitment. Illinois made this list, but he has yet to take an official visit. There is a great chance the Illini will get one of his official visits.

Based on need and the way Tyler has reacted to each Illinois visit in the past, I feel like the Orange and Blue are in the driver’s seat to land this kid. In the top list post on June 25, Tyler also said a commitment is coming soon. I would expect this to be great news for the Illini.
