No. 3 Guard/Forward

Starter – Adam Miller

If Illinois could land Adam Miller, this team would turn into Big Ten title contenders in 2020. Miller is a game changer player who can do everything on the basketball court. He is a 6-foot-4, 170-pound guard from Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 28 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 shooting guard in the nation. He is also the best player in the state of Illinois.

The sense has always been that the Illini are in the lead for Miller when it comes to recruiting. His former teammate, Ayo Dosunmu, is doing well with the Orange and Blue and will be heading to the NBA after his sophomore campaign. Miller would be in next in line from Morgan Park to go to the NBA.

Backup – Tevian Jones

I have the backup to Miller being Tevian Jones. This doesn’t mean Jones won’t get playing time, though. I see him on the court with multiple different lineups for the Illini. Jones is an extremely talented player who is going to help this program.

Last season, Jones finished the year averaging 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in just 9.2 minutes of action. These numbers will increase as will his minutes. Having Jones come off the bench is going to be exciting for this team.

Backup – Da’Monte Williams

When the 2020-21 season rolls around, Da’Monte Williams will be a senior. I have waited for him to come around but he isn’t putting up the production I would like to see.

I have Williams coming in as the third option at the No. 3 spot. I like him as a person and there are times he is effective on the floor. His defense is solid too. But his offense is a liability at times, so I have him getting some minutes but not being a big contributor. Illinois can’t afford him getting 21.6 minutes per game and only putting up 3.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
