The Illinois basketball team needs to start winning on the court, and this will help them on the recruiting front too.

This upcoming season should be an NCAA tournament run for the program. We haven’t seen that since John Groce’s first year with the team. But things are changing with this program. Brad Underwood and the coaching staff he has assembled are bringing in better talent and opening up pipelines that have been dry for quite some time.

Two players that have caught the eye of the coaching staff at Illinois and the fanbase as a whole are Adam Miller and DJ Steward. Both of these talented guards are from Chicago and are in the top 50 when it comes to the class of 2020. If Illinois could add both of these recruits, the team would be on the verge of doing some great things in the postseason.

What if the Illini did end up getting both players for the 2020-2021 campaign? What would the team look like and where would they be slotted on the roster? I think it is time to project this Illinois lineup with these two great recruits.

Here is the projected Illini lineup with Adam Miller and DJ Steward.
