The Illinois basketball team has had some great players come through the program over the last couple of decades.

There were some legendary guards who lit the world on fire. Players like Deron Williams, Dee Brown, Luther Head and Ayo Dosunmu, just to name a few, are all legends for this great program. Illinois also has some great forwards and big men too.

Meyers Leonard was fun to watch when he was with the team. He would have been so special if he stuck around a little longer. I loved the play of Roger Powell and Nanna Egwu as well. These two were big for their respective teams for different reasons.

But what if you only had $15 to spend and each player was valued at a different dollar amount? It is easy to say who the best players were over the last couple of decades, but what if you had to put together a team based on a dollar amount rather than skill? Trust me, it isn’t so easy leaving some players out and picking others. Some of the players I had to leave out were really good when they were in college too.

Here is the best Illini team put together for $15.
