The Illinois basketball team is starting to shift most of their recruiting focus over to the class of 2020.

This class holds some of the best talent I have seen come through the high school ranks in a long time. There are players in the class of 2020 who are going to help lead their respective programs to a national title. Illinois is after some of these recruits as well.

Illinois has signed a solid class of 2019 so far. They have a scholarship still left to fill but bringing in big man Kofi Cockburn should make the team instantly better. But I want to continue this positive recruiting momentum. That is why the class of 2020 needs to be special.

The Illini are also going to need more guard help after this season as well. Ayo Dosunmu will be heading to the NBA after the upcoming campaign, and Andres Feliz will depart because he is a senior. That will leave a big hole in the Illinois backcourt.

There are some players who can help solve this problem, though. Some of these recruiting targets are currently playing in the Nike EYBL. This is an AAU organization that enables recruits to show off their talent.

Here are five Illini targets playing well in the EYBL.
