There were some scholarships handed out over the last few days from the Illinois football team.
The west coast has been good to the Orange and Blue recently. The recruiting attention that is being put on the state of California is important for the program. One of the most recent offers went to Kyron Ware-Hudson. He announced on Thursday via Twitter that he had received a scholarship offer from the University of Illinois.
Ware-Hudson is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound athlete from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. He is rated as a three-star recruit for the class of 2021 but doesn’t have a national ranking or a ranking among the athletes in the country. But his 88 rating as a three-star would put him somewhere between 400-600 among the recruits from the class of 2019, so that is where I would slot him for the class of 2021.
The scholarship offers that Ware-Hudson is bringing in also makes me think this kid is going to be pretty highly ranked when the final rankings come out. In addition to the Illinois offer that was announced on Thursday, he also has offers from Oregon, Arizona and Arizona State. This kid is only going to continue piling up the offers as well.
After a great talk with @keynodoh I would like to announce I have received a offer to The University Of Illinois! @ArmondSr @_groundzer0 @SWiltfong247 @adamgorney @GregBiggins @BrandonHuffman @MDFootball @EliteAthletes_ pic.twitter.com/NeOxxmU92E

There are multiple areas where I think Ware-Hudson would be a perfect fit for the Illini. I like him at wide receiver. He has really good hands and can go up and get the ball. That is what I want in my pass catchers. I would also like him playing safety as well. Ware-Hudson has good size, but his vision is what sets him apart. He can see what the quarterback is doing and has a quick reaction to it. His play is impressive.
Getting someone like Ware-Hudson would be huge for the Illinois football program. I would like to see the Illini get in this recruitment and make some noise. He would improve our defense and offensive instantly.
