Illinois Basketball: Illini target Adam Miller adds award to trophy case
One of the biggest Illinois basketball recruiting targets for the class of 2020 continues to pile up accolades.
Adam Miller is one of the best players in the country for the class of 2020. This kid can do everything on the basketball court. His stock has skyrocketed over the years and continues to rise daily. He is also piling up some serious honors as well.
Over the weekend, the Daily Southtown announced their Boys Basketball Player of the Year award. This honor went to none other than Miller himself. It isn’t shocking he won his award, though. He can put up numbers with the best players in the nation. He averaged 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this past season. He is also ranked as one of the best players by the recruiting sites as well.
247Sports has Miller as a four-star recruit who is the No. 26 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 4 point guard in the nation. He is also the best player in the state of Illinois as well. There is no wonder this kid has so many teams vying for his commitment.
Four programs, apparently, stand out to 247Sports as contenders for Miller’s commitment. Illinois, Kansas, Northwestern and Louisville are the four who are warm right now. I am thinking Illinois might have a leg up on the competition here.
Illinois has been recruiting Miller since he was just coming into the high school ranks. He started his rise to stardom with Manual High School in Peoria, Illinois. This is where the Illini really put in the work. Since then, he has transferred up to Morgan Park High School where he has accelerated his notoriety.
Miller’s recruitment isn’t finished and neither is his rise in the basketball world. He still has his senior season where he is likely to help lead Morgan Park to another state title. He will likely win more awards and continue filling up the trophy case. This kid is a superstar in-state recruit who has the sky as the limit.
