The Illinois football team is far from being done adding to the class of 2019.

Illinois currently has 11 players signed up for next season. Two of those players, Marquez Beason and Isaiah Williams, are both top 150 players. Moses Okpala and Keith Randolph are both top 600 players. The other seven players will help this team get to a bowl game in 2019 and should be big contributors within a year or two.

There are holes still left in the Illinois football team that could be filled with more additions to the class of 2019, though. I would like the Illini to add to the defense more. The Illini defense was bad last season. They have already added some nice pieces to bolster the secondary and defensive line, but now we need to add a strong linebacker to the mix.

The Illini also lost a few pass catchers from last season. Getting a few more wide receivers from the class of 2019 to go along with Casey Washington would help this team tremendously.

Overall, there is still some work left to do for the Illini to complete the class of 2019. They have a good start now let’s finish this class strong. I think we can end up with a top 40 class if a few chips fall our way.
