1. Ayo Dosunmu is incredible

I think I may put this slide in every week. The addition of Ayo Dosunmu has been special from the start, and I don’t see him slowing down any time soon.

Dosunmu was once again special on Tuesday night against Georgetown. He is a different level of player that Illinois fans haven’t seen in a while. The combination of him and Trent Frazier in the backcourt will be legendary this season and, hopefully, next.

At the end of the night, Dosunmu finished with 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the three-point arc. He was also 4-of-4 from the free throw line as well. He led both teams in scoring by six points and was easily the best player on the court. He also added in two steals, one assist and a rebound to go along with his great point production.

Honestly, the only reason Illinois lost the game against Georgetown is that Frazier wasn’t on the court. Having him back would have sealed the deal for the Illini. I don’t want Dosunmu’s greatness to get lost in the fact we dropped our second game of the season. This kid is truly special, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for him in the future.
