Illinois football fans need to wake up this morning, get their coffee or beer if you are hungover, and just relax about what we saw against the Purdue Boilermakers.

The Illini went into the Purdue game with some expectations of winning, but the fan base was massively disappointed from about the end of the first quarter on. This wasn’t really a contest through the entire game for multiple reasons. I can’t blame just one position. It was a collective effort of being really bad.

I see a lot of negative tweets on Twitter about what is going on with the program and some of them are justified. But, there are also some who want to clean house and start over. This is where I jump off. I will get to more of this in a later slide, though.

I have tried to sift through all the bad that happened on Saturday to find some good things. My search results ended up coming back with nothing. The Illini did just about everything poorly. That is okay, though. This was a game that showed the flaws on the Illinois football team and believe me, there are a lot of them.

Here are five observations from the Illini loss to Purdue.
