3. Quincy Guerrier – Syracuse 45%, Illinois 38%, Oregon 17%

One player who I think is flying under-the-radar for this Illinois basketball team is Quincy Guerrier. This kid is a superstar wing player who can do some great things on the basketball court.

Guerrier is a 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward from Thetford Academy in Quebec City, Quebec. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 48 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 13 small forward in the nation. He is also ranked as the best player to come out of Quebec.

The recruitment of Guerrier has been pretty quiet. The fact Illinois is even in the running for him is quite impressive. This kid is a big-time talent and there are some big-time schools trying to convince him to play for their program.

So far, Guerrier has been on two visits. He went over to Oregon on September 6 and then down to Syracuse on September 21. His next visit is this weekend to Illinois. This upcoming visit is turning into one of the biggest for the Illini in a while. Guerrier could help turn the tides for the class of 2019.

Snagging Guerrier is going to be tough for the Illini. Oregon and Syracuse are projected to be the two teams in the running for him, but I think Illinois has a legit shot here. I don’t think the Illini are in the lead, yet. But, if Illinois does land Guerrier, I wouldn’t be too surprised.
