2. Caleb Love – No. 40

A player who is flying under the radar for the Illini is Caleb Love. This kid has been on Illinois’ radar for a while, and they continue to show him love throughout his recruiting process.

Love is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is now ranked as the No. 40 player in the class of 2020. This is one spot up from where he was ranked yesterday.

Illinois has been on Love for quite some time as well. They were actually one of the first teams to offer Love a scholarship back on May 30. Since then, he has received a lot of offers from big-time programs. The Illini have been in-touch with Love a lot too.

The Illini contacted Love back on June 15 and they were in to see him just a week ago. They have clearly made him one of the priorities for the class of 2020 and rightfully so. This kid is extremely talented and needs to be wearing the Orange and Blue.

Right now, FanCast has Love as 75-percent to Missouri. This makes sense considering the Tigers have had success in the St. Louis area with basketball. I wouldn’t count out the Illini, though. They should be right there in the race.
