5. Indiana Hoosiers 7-5

The Indiana Hoosiers are a basketball school with a football program. But, let’s not sleep on the football team. They have some pretty good players waiting to be stars.

I believe their starting quarterback will be Peyton Ramsey for most of the season. He showed some serious talent last year. But, there seems to be a solid quarterback competition in training camp. That means there is some serious talent at the position for this Hoosiers squad.

Indiana will likely get off to a good start. They don’t have an extremely tough non-conference. I see them beating FIU, who made a bowl game in 2017. I think they will also take down Virginia and Ball State as well. This will get the Hoosiers on the right path.

But, when the Big Ten season starts, that is when Indiana will struggle. I see them falling to Michigan State in the first game of Big Ten play. They then beat Rutgers only to have Ohio State, Iowa and Penn State next. I see them dropping all three games.

The end of the schedule for Indiana is favorable, though. I see them taking down Minnesota and Maryland to become bowl eligible. They will then fall to Michigan and end the season with a win against Purdue to finish with seven wins on the season.
