7. Nebraska Cornhuskers 3-9

The 2017 version of the Nebraska Cornhuskers was one of the worst teams from their program I have ever seen. They are a traditional powerhouse in the college football world and bringing in Scott Frost should help them get back to prominence.

Nebraska wasn’t a good team last season. They weren’t even good on defense. The lone bright spot for the Cornhuskers was Tanner Lee who threw for 3,143 yards and 23 touchdowns, but he has departed the program. Look for this Nebraska team to struggle again.

I see the non-conference for Nebraska going pretty well. They play Akron and Troy, both of which should be victories by double-digits. The Cornhuskers will likely drop their game against Colorado, though. That is a tough matchup.

Nebraska starts the conference slate off tough. I have them losing six games in a row. They start off with Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Minnesota and Ohio State. The only game they should win in that group is against Minnesota but the avalanche of losses will get to the team.

The next game is against Illinois. I see Nebraska pulling off a win here because Illinois will somehow blow this game. The Cornhuskers beat the Illini last season as well.

The final two games will be against Michigan State and Iowa. I see Nebraska dropping both of these contests to fall to a record of 3-9 for the season.
