Illinois Football: 5 Illini recruiting targets who could commit soon for 2019
5. Keith Randolph
Illinois is after a handful of underrated targets for the class of 2019 as well. The Illini have a legit shot at landing one of those in-state targets in Keith Randolph.
Randolph is a 6-foot-5, 220-pound strong-side defensive end from Belleville West High School in Belleville, Illinois. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 1036 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 69 strong-side defensive end in the nation.
Back on July 21, Randolph ended up cutting his list down to just three programs. He kept Purdue, Wyoming and Illinois alive for his commitment. This is an interesting list, and I believe his decision will likely come down to just the Boilermakers and Illini.
247Sports has Randolph at 100-percent Illinois right now, and I completely agree with them. I felt like the Illini were in the lead for this kid for quite some time. He has been on multiple unofficial visits to campus and the coaching staff continues to recruit him hard as well.
I am guessing the next player to commit to Illinois is likely going to be Randolph. This commitment could come really soon. I have more certainty with Randolph committing to Illinois than I do with any other recruit on this list. He would be a great pickup for the program.
