The Illinois football team has a class of 2019 signed up right now that could really make an impact on the future of this program.

This class has become less top-heavy recently with the addition of a few big pieces like Fabian McCray and Kyron Cumby. These two are great players who I think could help the team down the road. They each have their own set of skills that will help this program.

From top to bottom, I am excited about every one of the eight players who have signed up already for 2019. They each will bring something different at different times in their careers. Each will have an impact on this team at some point as well.

But, year one is going to be interesting for each of these eight commits. Some of these players have a ceiling that is high in year one. They could be superstars right off the bat. Some of these players have a floor that could see them potentially be a redshirt, though.

Nevertheless, it will be fun to see what these players can do on the football field to help this program get back to contending in the Big Ten and on the national level.

Here is the projected floor and ceiling for the Illini recruits in year one.
