The final starter I have projected into the lineup for the Illinois football team is Maurice Massey. Remember, this is a list of what the Illini roster could look like. With Massey, I think Illinois has one of best offenses in the Big Ten and, potentially, the country.

Massey is a 6-foot-4, 185-pound wide receiver from Kirkwood High School in Saint Charles, Missouri. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 373 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 53 wide receiver in the nation.

Back on April 26, Massey broke away from his commitment to Iowa State where he had decided to commit to back in 2017. This opened up his recruitment again and Illinois pounced. They actually were able to get Massey in for a visit as well.

Just this past week, Massey cut his list down to just five programs. He included North Carolina, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon and Illinois on that list. Top five for this kid is a good start, but Illinois really needs him to be in the Orange and Blue.

I think Massey would come in and compete and earn the starting job day one. His size is amazing standing at 6-foot-4. He will be like our Randy Moss. The sky is the limit for this kid.
