Arguably the most impressive get in the class of 2019 for the Illinois football team is Marquez Beason. This kid is going to be something special for this program and, potentially, could do it on both sides of the ball.

Beason is a 5-foot-11, 173-pound recruit from Bishop Dunne High School in Dallas, Texas. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 74 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 4 athlete in the nation. It looks like Beason potentially could line up at wide receiver and cornerback for the Illini. He has been playing the all-star games at cornerback, but he is a dynamic player who can do both.

For now, I am going to slot Beason in as a wide receiver on the Illini roster. He would boost up the wide receiver core instantly with his playmaking abilities. I have him as one of the starters right now because when you get a player of his caliber, he has to start immediately. He is too good not to be in the lineup.

Beason will give Illinois that bubble screen threat as well as the over-the-top threat. Beason can burn defenders but he can also play in space. This kid is going to be one of the best in program history.
