The Illinois football team tapped back into the Texas market with one of their latest scholarship offers.

On Tuesday, the Illini offered a scholarship to Nnamdi Adim-Madumere. He is a 6-foot-3, 226-pound wide receiver from Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 468 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 58 wide receiver in the nation. Illinois is coming in with this offer, but they are not the first to check out how talented this kid really is.

Adim-Madumere already has a wide range of scholarship offers. He has roughly 18 offers right now according to 247Sports. These aren’t just offers from small DI programs either. The likes of Alabama Texas A&M and Texas Tech have all extended offers to this talented and big wide receiver.

If you want a playmaker who is going to get you touchdowns frequently, then look no further than Adim-Madumere. He has everything you want in a big-time playmaker. His size is fantastic. He has the build to just bully defensive backs into whatever he wants to do on the field. His ability to get the ball at the highest point is fantastic. I love that he can also move as well. His speed is solid for his size. It is almost like he is a hybrid wide receiver and tight end. This kid will do some special things at the next level.

Illinois will have plenty of room on the roster when 2019 rolls around as well. Five of the 11 wide receivers on the roster right now will depart the program after this upcoming season. Illinois will still have a few key pieces, though. But, this would leave a lot of playing time available if Adim-Madumere would want to come play for the Illini.

Do I think Illinois has a chance at landing Adim-Madumere? Likely no, but his recruitment isn’t over yet. The Mayor of Littyville may have something to say about the situation. Illinois also has Marquez Beason doing a great job recruiting other talented players to come to Champaign as well. I am not counting out the Illini in this one, but it will be difficult to pull in Adim-Madumere.
