2. Jahleel Billingsley

Illinois needs big playmakers that can catch the ball and score. That is why Jahleel Billingsley would be a massive get for this program.

Billingsley is a 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end from Phillips Academy in Chicago, Illinois. He is rated as a four-star recruit who is the No. 254 player in the class of 2019 and the No. 9 tight end in the nation. I love everything about this kid, and Illinois looks to be the frontrunner for him right now.

There are a handful of teams that seem to be emerging for Billingsley’s services. Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan are all serious contenders for his commitment. But, I think the Illini probably have the slight lead right now. He seems to be warming up to the program and the thought of coming to Champaign.

Billingsley would flourish in the Illinois offense. He could line up on the opposite side of Louis Dorsey, and these two would give Isaiah Williams big targets in the middle of the field or the end zone. Billingsley would add to what is already going to be a dynamic offense. I can’t even imagine what the Illini can do with him on the field.
