The Illinois football team is really focusing on the class of 2019 and for good reason.

The class of 2019 brings some extremely talented players from all around the country but more importantly, this class has players that are great and are in-state. The state of Illinois is littered with extremely talented players and this is the perfect time for the Illini to recruit their backyard hard.

Illinois has been working to cultivate a great class for 2019. They have been offering players left and right, and they have also been on the road visiting these players. Lovie Smith and his staff have really taken a grassroots approach to their recruitment. Honestly, they have to do this because they don’t have much to fall back on record wise.

There are some players the Illini have offered that like the program but haven’t given an indication that a commitment to the Orange and Blue is a possibility. But, there are other players who have taken a liking to the Illini and think they are a uniform they could see themselves in.

247Sports has a Crystal Ball system that helps fans see what the 247Sports staff predicts. This has been a useful tool over the last few years.
